Eventually, someone came to pick us up. It was a helicopter that airlifted us to a parking garage. From there Angelia led us to a car and got behind the wheel. None of us said anything on that long drive back to the Academy. By the time we got there, my parents were already there. They began fussing over me as they always seem to do when something bad happened to me. Both they and Angelia went into the headmaster’s office and were in there for a long time. Angelia waited until the very last moment before stepping aside. Tanya, not expecting such a move, came to a halt despite her forward momentum and turned to face her opponent with a sneer. Not even bothering to come up with a response she charged again. This time, Angelia deflected the path of Tanya’s blade with her own and the duel began in earnest. The sounds of their blades clashing against each other echoed in the hallway. Del watched on, and from the looks in her eyes I was certain she was urging Angelia to win this one, despite what may happen to her or us.
